Of Telangana, Chetan, Piracy and Twitter!

with 2 comments

Last year, the same month, I had proudly presented an article on how to remove writer’s block. And now, I needed it the most! Oh! Don’t worry, this is not going to be another sadistic post. :)

I wonder whether its the twitter activity that has hindered me from writing the posts. Every time I think of something, I realize I could summarize it in 140 words or even less. As per many blogs providing blogging tips, this finding has been true. And of course, I am writing this post now, after few days of being inactive on twitter!! But still, I have found so many people still writing even though they are active on twitter. Read the rest of this entry »

Neighbourhood problems!

with 2 comments

Being a fan of  ‘The Hindu’ newspaper at native home, ‘The Times of India’ newspaper in Bangalore home was a refreshing change. It was more colorful, had more news (though some are irrelevant) and had bullet point short notes as summary. It would be easy to say, that I read more news from that newspaper just because of its layout and pointed reports.

There is a column in the newspaper, reporting civic problems, with images or mails from the residents, which I normally ignore as most of them would be full of complaints and cribbing. One day, accidentally and surprisingly, I noticed that one unknown resident in the same street as I lived, has reported about the bad conditions of the road. Read the rest of this entry »

Rama Rama Kya Drama!

with 2 comments

Men complain they cannot watch serials. That they cannot withstand all the “rona dhona” and all. But even if you switch off the television, how will you keep your eyes closed with all the drama happening around you?

Fizaaaaa….. Fizaaa……!!!! (Song from “Fiza” film)!!

Yes! Chand has come back to Fiza. Is Karan Johar listening? He would have got a triangular love story by now. Not that he would not have already got 3 or 4 love stories in mind, but still… I guess, soon there would be a film by him on polygamy and the upcoming trends of “indecisive love” which would mean, ‘unable to know whom you are loving’. Film name would be “Kaun Kisse Karta Hai Pyar”. As he has got out of his K word, it could also maybe “Fiza Chand” or “Chand Fiza”. The song lyrics would now surely contain those words, “Chand” and “Fiza” as they are very poetic not only in names, but also in real life. Read the rest of this entry »

The First Year…

with 5 comments

People say “marriages are made in heaven”. But they forget that after marriage they have to live on this earth!

The first year is supposed to be the most beautiful moments, after the engagement to marriage period. I do not deny, but then we never know what lies in the future. May be its more bright than now? They say love dithers over years especially when all get busy with their lives and responsibility increases over money, land, parents, children and themselves. But maybe its just that love has found its base, and has gotten invisible over the years, just as the love we have towards our parents. Read the rest of this entry »

Mélange – Random Tidbits – V

with 3 comments

I guess, I will have more similar posts. There are so many topics but nothing much to say about it. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it enough to discard too. Just a few notes to self, or kinda thinking-aloud posts. The random tidbits I guess, hence would repeat. Maybe I just should change the random tidbits post title to something else. Any suggestions?

Valentine’s day is over, and now there is not much of Mutalik. People have got immersed in central and state budgets and elections and recession brooding. What happened to the anti-Mutalik organizations and the gifts? Even if the day was peaceful, there were attacks here and there. I am sure no actions would have been taken against the attackers. How can it be if there are no complaints. Which makes me think of the stupid clause of complaints. As long as the victims are harassed and threatened how can they complain? Not even in this case, but in any case. Say some beggars are killed on the street, won’t be there any action on the killers? Strange. Read the rest of this entry »

Lalbagh Flower Show at Bangalore

with 6 comments

The flower show in Bangalore Lalbagh gardens started last week. Over the weekend, having nothing else to do, we went over to click them. I mean the flowers. Yes, photography has been getting on my nerves every time I see my photographs and the experiments. ;) img_3718-300x2251

To those residing in Bangalore from a quite long time, this flower show may not be a new thing. I have been to other flower shows too, like in Thiruvananthapuram at Kerala, but flowers are always refreshing.

The entry fee is maximum Rs.40/- for adults. I saw huge numbers like Rs.150 and Rs.200 in the price listing for the car parking, though I am not sure, whether its true! Thankfully, we went on bike which can be easily parked for just Rs.5! There was no special fees for camera, which provided great opportunity for many photographers. There were tripods, and huge big, wide, or whatever lenses stuck near the huge varieties of flowers. Read the rest of this entry »

Monday blues or New year retrospection?

with 5 comments

Its another Monday.  But its different. Its the first Monday of 2009.

The day when people have joined back their offices after their holidays. The day when they crib about being back to office working whole day. The day when they feel home sick. They think about their native, about their home, about their family. The pictures of the X’mas and New Year celebrations and parties flashes in your mind, in front of your eyes. The day when people start running in the rat race… again…

There are some who have made new year resolutions. Majority of the blogs have listed their resolutions along with new year wishes. And for me, I too had resolutions. I still have. To acquire the unfulfilled ones. Deep buried in the corner of the heart…
